JIM MCGILLEM, PROJECT COORDINATOR

Jim McGillem joined LA+D as a Project Coordinator. Prior to this Jim retired in 2013 after spending 44 years in the Healthcare Field working in the areas of Biomedical Engineering, Department Management and Director of Facility and Real Estate Operations. Jim still holds a Real Estate License and is active in the Evansville Morning Rotary Club.

Jim has become a vital member of the LA+D team throughout the past year. His vast experience in facilities (from the owner’s side) has become an invaluable resource for the firm. He is active during the early planning phases of project development, and guides design efforts with an eye towards functionality. He also understands the importance of aesthetic composition and artfully coordinates functionality and aesthetics in each design.

His versatile skill set is also valuable during the construction phase of project development. He works alongside clients to see that construction proceeds according to the architectural contract documents.

Throughout his career he was active in numerous civic organizations and was also a Certified EMT Instructor for 7 years. When time permits Jim enjoys travel, golf, and Historical Sites. Jim has one son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren in Fishers, IN.
